    Jan – Feb 2017 Harvest

    Our harvest was long and plentiful this past season. The wet winter growing season meant our grain (Rye and Wheat) was lower protein. This means that the grain is downgraded to feed (Dairy cows, poultry, etc), instead of milling grade.

    Did you know?? Conventional grain (not certified organic) can include additives to increase the protein level of flour. The main 
    Flour treatment agents are synthetic, some of which are banned in other countries. L-Cysteine is known to be derived from chook feathers or human hair! So… choosing Certified Organic flour, bread and pasta is your guarantee of keeping your body clean of these nasties!!
